A Place Called The Wailing Wall In Jerusalem
Another name
for this wall is Western Wall. It’s the last vestige of the Holy Temple built
by King Solomon; built as part of the expansion of the second Jewish Temple about
20 B.C.
Prayers are conducted
here 24 hours, come rain or sunshine. It has two sessions, one for men, the
other session for women. This writing is focusing on the men’s session for
today. Women’s session will be shown in another write up.
Everybody is
required to dress decently before going to the Wall. Men wear the Jewish round
cap on their heads in addition to their dressing too.
Individual’s
prayer petitions, which are expected to have been written before approaching
the Wall, are stuck in cracks of the Wall.
