Nomadic and Global Adventure

  “Music is food to the soul”, says some Schools of thought. For me, music or song apart from being food to my soul is a big hobby to me. Staying a moment without music is a no, no, to me. Many people sing for different reasons like, glorifying God, being happy, entertaining others for free or otherwise, etc. For me I sing for God and for leisure.                                        To be a good singer requires a lot of sacrifices. You must have the passion for music. You must also do voice training on your own or hire a professional music teacher to drill out the best voice in you. Many times, you have to sing out loud by yourself, especially in the morning; part of voice training.                                         Also, many foods that are not compatible with the voice are avoided; foods like oily foods, fried foods, cold drinks and what have you. Aside travelling, I love to sing. That drew me to singing with my Church choir.                           

It was a planned trip with my group to Uganda. We prepared our suitcases, made sure that our documents were updated and packed as well; and set for the journey. Our flight was already booked. We were at the airport 2 hours before the flight time.                                       It was a smooth flight with little bumps though. That’s the part I love while flying, the bumps! As we landed,we rode on a waiting bus stationed for us.                                        We took brief from the organisers of the tour and enjoyed some jokes and snapshots.                                       It was that period when the Ugandan martyrs were being celebrated, 7 of them. Saint Mulumba was one of them. It was a moody adventure for me after learning how they were martyred.                                         I didn’t miss my meal. I guess we lodged in a 3- Star hotel by my rating, though a staff there told me it was a 5–Star. But their meal was delicio

Apapa Sea in Lagos is a very big sea with different segments. It is a commercial sea where the Nigeria port is located. A visit there spells out why Lagos, the commercial nerve center of Nigeria is always busy. A waiting boat was ready to take us across the other side.                                        We got to the seashore and it was a lovely site. The sea breeze reminded me of the artistic nature of God. It was such a lovely temperature.                                        My colleagues couldn't wait to savor the vicinity. A little pose here and there. A lot of containers on the sea. Amazing!                                        A Sea School, on the shore, a bit above the sea level, known as Apapa Sea School was at hand. In Galilee of Israel lies a small village called Eilaboun. It’s located east of Galilee with about 5,000 residents. Its history dated back to 4,000 years ago. Conclusively, that is the main route trail of Jesus Christ.                                         The village Eilaboun is known with a lovely cultural dance known as Dabka dance, an ancient traditional dance. The troop comprises of both boys and girls displaying their culture to the admiration of people around.                                      Beautiful performance to watch!                                       For countries and cultures that require culture exchange, Dabka dance is a good one to look at and consider.

Abuja is the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria. It houses many markets in different locations. But for the purpose of this writing, we would focus on one for now. Our location today is Garki: Garki Modern Market.                                        It is well located and organised, with good security. Let’s take a walk within the market. There are segments for different items like fairly used clothes both for adults and children and different sexes . This segment is for utensils, curtains, window blinds  and other household items both plastic, metals and what have you.   This section takes one to cooking items and ingredients and other edible stuff.   Let’s walk down more and have other sites and stuff. The first thing that catches one's attention is the normal gate that adorned a beautiful wall.  Traditionally, boys don’t enter the temple in Jerusalem until they are up to twelve years old. Just like Jesus Christ, the first time, when he turned twelve; followed his parents, Mary and Joseph, into Jerusalem as required by the Jewish tradition.                                    It is a big day celebration. The boys, each rode on a horse, well dressed and decorated for the ceremony, all beaming with wide smiles. It looked like initiation into manhood. Each family rallies round their son(s) in pomp and pageantry. Some fathers could be seen carrying their celebrating sons on their shoulders, having great time to mark the tradition.                                   Besides, many other side attractions ranging from wedding to dancing and other activities take place around the vicinity.                                      It is a day to behold around the W
